At heart, I'm your classic conceptual advertising art director, with a big-agency pedigree from the likes of M&C Saatchi and Langland, but a grass-roots practical attitude. Adaptability is something I pride myself on, with a huge variety of briefs under my belt, kudos in the healthcare sphere, and practical skills including filmmaking, photography, design, writing, pitching and a dash of project management when needed.

I’ve worked in network agencies, independent agencies, entrepreneurial collaborations, classic freelancing and completely solo, in both New Zealand and the UK. I strive to create work that always has an insight-led edge, a genuine voice and speaks to an audience with honesty and integrity.

In July 2019 I began a full time role with Syneos London. But do please get in touch about any creative opportunities around conservation, humanitarian, ethical, or environmental causes.

For me, ethos is as important as aesthetics. And while these days I’m more driven by purpose than awards, I’m still proud of my collection of statues and certificates. Highlights have included Gold, Silver and ‘Best in Show’ for illustration, in the UK’s IPA Best of Health, and two Healthcare Clio awards.

I have a deep love of wild places, and the simple pleasures of cooking over a campfire or looking up at the stars. I’ve volunteered for the New Zealand Green Party for over seven years, working both in NZ and remotely from the UK on everything from election campaigns to merchandise design.
