Providing creative expertise for brands and organisations with environmental or social change at heart.

After a foundation working as an art director for top New Zealand advertising agencies like M&C Saatchi Auckland, I broadened my horizons living and working in the UK.

Over twelve years abroad, including time with the renowned agency Publicis Langland, and many eclectic collaborations, steadily extended my capabilities and perspectives. Documentary film skills, digital experience, B2B campaigns, and many diverse projects fostered an adaptable, multi-disciplinary, and best-practice approach.

After 2020, back in Aotearoa, post-graduate study in Leading Change for Good led to mahi such as a leadership role with Kiwis in Climate network, and working with Greenpeace Aotearoa in a special tactics research project.

back story

creative change

Creative Change Direction is my special blend of ideation, creative direction and creative production expertise, focused on empowering environmental and social change.

I believe the creative communications of organisations and brands who believe in looking after planet and people should be, and can be, as well-crafted and effective as the best of consumer advertising.

Working with NGOs, agencies, and purpose-driven businesses, I develop and deliver best-practice ideation, design, film, photography and digital to bring their messages to life – to connect with and inspire more people.

The case studies on this site reflect the best and more recent projects I’ve been privileged to lead and contribute to in this area.

I believe the creative communications of changemakers can be – and should be – as crafted and compelling as the best of consumer advertising.

CREATIVE LEADERSHIP

I’m passionate about empowering good creative, always championing robust briefs and deeper human-centric thinking before any cameras roll, and enjoy sharing the learnings from my career and projects.

Most recently I was privileged to speak at Design Assembly’s ‘Design and Planet’ Autumn Gathering in Tāmaki Makaurau. I have previously been flattered to be invited to contribute to the likes of the AUT Communication Design Major, UK magazine ‘Rockstar CMO’, and the thought-leadership work of Italian/British visual studio Storo.

Recently, I was excited to be the guest on episode 52 of the podcast Photo Country. While we talked about my photography, the host Rajeev was keen to hear more about purpose-driven creativity. Have a listen here!

From insight to post-production, or from cosy collab to contract role; I’m always keen for a kōrero about how I can contribute.

I’m based in Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland, but always keen to travel!
